Featured in Concrete Décor Magazine
Bella Rocca was interviewed for a featured article in Concrete Décor Magazine (Volume 19 No. 1 January 2019)
The article focuses on ways that decorative concrete can help remedy problems that sometimes appear. We used two examples from our work to share with the Author Joe Maty.
The first example focused on a neighbor that had an absolutely gorgeous home. This individual owned and operated a business that licenses art, so he had a real eye for what looked great. However, this individual had wood stamped concrete and used a wood sealant from a local store like Home Depot!! Needless to say, the sealant did NOT work. We came in, stripped the sealer off and then chose an appropriate color to stain the wood stamped concrete. It was a great before and after moment that brought this guy’s patio back to it’s intended beauty.
The second example focused on a gentlemen that we still keep in touch with and send holiday cards back and forth to - even after 7+ years. He bought a home in the Millcreek Canyon with an indoor lap pool. It was in bad shape. We cleaned it thoroughly and stained it “Roman Stone” a medium gray color. This homeowner was ahead of his time and choose a gray and white aesthetic prior to it becoming all the rage. We also painted the brick and wood panels to really brighten the room. The contrast of the crisp blue water with the dark gray and bright white walls provide a great combination of style and color. What a place to swim laps as you look out the window into the Salt Lake Valley.
This was the second time Concrete Décor had published work from Bella Rocca, however, it was the first time being credited.
