Concrete Pressure Washing

Like most areas of life – Preparation is KEY!

Stains, Sealers, or any kind of surface coating needs to have a surface that it can absorb into and/or bind to.

External projects typically require a thorough pressure wash with strong enough pressure and sometimes use a degreaser where necessary.

Internal preparation ranges from a good stiff scrubbing all the way to mechanically grinding off grime and glue from leftover carpet or tile.

Additionally, sometimes ‘etching’ may be needed which includes either a harsh acid being used or a lighter citric acid to open the pores of the concrete.

While pressure washing is the go-to method for decorative concrete preparation, we also use diamond-encrusted pads to scour the floor (coating removal or opening the concrete pores). Not often, but occasionally, we’ll acid etch with a gel or something more liquid.
